    Hey all-
Just stumbled across the site when looking for some help with some paint issues. What a great resouce! it can be a big help to get others’ experienced ideas.
I’ve been a painter at the same shop for about 14yrs. We are a small shop and focus on quality. We used Glasurit for years and recently were kinda forced to change systems to Standox. It has been a bit of a challenge and will be posting questions to the paint area.

Look forward to talking to you soon- Mike

Nice to have you here Mike. Our shop is BASF, why did you have to switch to Standox btw? I am pretty sure there’s a few guys here familiar with the line that can help you out. How are you liking it so far?

Hey guys- typed this response yesterday and forgot to submit it.

We were forced off BASF Glasurit about a year ago when the local jobber dropped BASF to carry only dupont and familly paints> It was a big shock when I got back from vacation in Mexico and the change was done. We had no clue it was coming. It was frustraing to think of over ten yrs of Spray outs & now all starting over.
Standox has been fine, and i know a lot of other painters are fine with it. I have had some problems with the base in blends and motleing. those high metallic round flake colors. Color matches are comparable to Glasurit i’d say.

Doright- let me know any info and i will ask around- It is a fairly small town as you know.

    have a good week- mike
