For the guys here who have the paint booths and all and take all the “trash” precautions. Is it possible to paint something as small as a spoiler without getting some trash in the clear. Just seems as though cut and buff is a way of every job.

Cept for when I cut and buff my dust dibs are leaving white specs that I cannot wetsand out and go to basecoat =(

? whites comin from some where , dust on white is black/dark but shouldn’t be no white dust …. dandruff??

perhaps out of your gun …. and don’t be surprised , just cause you clean it well , don’t mean your cleaning it well enough. 😉

    Stone,

I made this thread right before I painted the white grill, and it seems as though i did not get any black specs in that one. I used a different stand and had it free floating in the air about 3 feet away from anything.

Also, Until now I have been dusting on my basecoat. Would that create more of a rough surface and allow small particles of dirt to collect and be harder to tack out?
