I thought you were an Iwata guy? Are you spraying with a GTI or a Plus in your last 2 vids? Looks really good! I hate painting spoilers!

They are GTI’s, their not even mine. We don’t have enough regulators/hvlp fittings and I was too lazy to change em over….i know, that’s pretty lazy. For clearing I find my Iwata too slow (W400), I gotta get around to getting a 1.4 tip for it. If I need to make a difficult blend I will bust out the LPH400. Other then that whatever’s handy.

Spoilers are a huge pain, funny how they look so easy. I’ve autographed a few in my day, usually right on the roll & can’t be polished. This one turned out really nice, very clean too.

I have signed quite a few myself. How do you like spraying with those GTI’s compared to a W400? Some people love Devilbiss guns, I have never really liked any of them until I tried a CVI.

Do you ever use the 450 clear? I sprayed a car for a guy a few years ago and thats what I put on it and I remember it being a really nice clear. How does it compare to the other Glasurit clears? When we demoed it I used 255 and 550. I didn’t like the 255. The 550 layed down really good but did die back some. It was nice for a faster clear. I hated the sealer!

I find the devilbiss gti extremely easy to use and produces a consistent factory finish. The guns belong to the other painter that won’t spray anything else. I think the Iwata’s can produce a nicer finish & are much better when your blending tougher colors. I liked the rp that I demo’d a while ago, eventually I’ll pick one up.

I used the 450 for a little while and found it to be a very nice clear, but in all honesty after spraying 109 I couldn’t tell that much of a difference. 109’s half the price, pre-flexed and I find it to be a great all-around clear. I’ve heard 2 guys here say they don’t like it so maybe I’m just an oddball. I’ve never tryed the 550, the 255 was alright… but I don’t think its as good as the 109 and again it costs less and dryings about the same.

I still do use my W400 for clear on some jobs, just with the thinner clears since I only have a 1.3 for it. I find it struggles with some of the glasso stuff, have to really slow myself down. When I get the 1.4 I think this will be my go to gun…..atleast until i get an rp!
