I have another good for you guys! The floor of my booth was loaded with overspray that I wanted to get off because it seemed like it was holding dust all the time. I pressure washed it to death and it all came off except in some areas that someone had painted before. My original plan was to put an epoxy coating on it. But it will just get loaded up with overspray again. I have been toying with the idea of using indoor/outdoor carpet on the floor. It’s cheap, a nice gray overspray color, and since it’s outdoor it can be sprayed down. Also I would think it would be good at holding dust down alot better than concrete. I was thinking about just running an old house vacuum over it in the mornings.

Any thoughts on this? Am I crazy or just dumb?:wak

I kinda think it would work pretty good but it could be that I just don’t want to strip the concrete! Give me some feedback and let me know what you’ll think.

well does sound crazy till you mentioned the vacume :pcorn: I use a blower with a long wand on it every once and a while , paint blows of like potatoe chips. Doesn’t all blow off though

Not sure if I’d like the idea of carpet. I’d be worried about it shedding fibres and trapping dust.

It’s an expensive option but my booth floor is tiled. Super hard wearing and very easy to keep clean.

how do you clean the overspray off of the floor?

Mop and bucket full of thinners. Overspray doesn’t stick to the tiles surface very well, so comes up easily 🙂

We have a scrubbing machine to do the rest of the shop floor, but unfortunately we can’t get it in the booth because of the rail system for the push through oven 🙁
