Painting and refinishing terms?

Hello I am new to the forum,
I have been reading a lot of your guys tips they are useful. I am in the research stage looking at doing to some paint on one of my vehicles.
I was thinking it would be useful to have a topic with definitions of us some the terms and abrevations for us newbies.
When I first started looking I wasn’t sure what some of the terms meant DA, Block sander etc.
I think it would help
