is the main color black or blue? just wondering cause candy doesnt change black, helps avoid big tape lines by unmasking artwork first then squirt candies over black.
NOTE: you painters probably knew this tip but some didnt i would bet:)

the truck was black. but candy will change a black paint job. its subtle but there is a diff. on small art work its not noticable in the surrounding area but it would have been on that large of an area. i used candy toners mixed in clear base so the edge was not that signifacant.

well i guess i stand corrected i have only done this on bikes not large things, flames look really good style.

what do you expect for a frame guy:P . thanks for the compliments
you can get a nice deep dark cherry black going over it with red candy. very subtle but nice. i was actually thinking about doing that but didnt feel like candying the whole truck

Nice work Dinger.. I always have problems getting the flames to look uniform.. I can go for a bit, but the larger area I get into the harder it gets for me.. Dont do them often, so maybe thats part of it:blush: Great work though.. and looked to be super clean shot in your garage brotha
