plastic flares

    Hi Iam starting in car painting. I have a question, Is necesary add any flexible agent to the paint if you paint any plastic part like bumper or flares?

    By procedure you should always use a flex additive on a flexible plastic. A rigid plastic (ones that don’t have much movement) it is not necessary. In the case of flexible parts it helps prevent spider-cracking upon impact again, I try and use flexible products on them personally but many here don’t and seem to get by.

    The primers and clears i use are flexible. But if you’re not sure, it’s a good idea to add it. Makes possible future
    repairs easier going.

    I use SEM Super Flex when needed.
