Hi all i have just joined this site today i have dabbled in a bit of auto body painting on and off for a lot of years. I recently resprayed a bonnet on my sons Corsa. It came out ok using a clear over base, the clearcoat i used was a ready for use 1k and i gave it three coats and cut it back and polished it etc but after just two weeks from painting it a bird messed on it the result was it went right into the clear and has bubbled it.
Cant wetsand it out so my question is shall i be better of respraying it using a two pack clear as i know this will be more hard wearing. I want to respray the front bumper too so want to use a hard wearing clear on this too. Is 1k clear better for just doing spot repairs?? Thanks for any advice.

Yes, a 2k clear is infinitely better and will fix your problem. It would be a good idea to strip off the 1k clear and redo the job.

In my opinion, 1k clear has no useful purpose.
