Aright guys, I have a new idea for you guys to process. The basic concept of it is making a little bit of dough writing articles here. Just quick tutorials, blogs, whatever you want. You can make some money talking about the kind of stuff you already know.
Here’s a quick breakdown on the process:
First of all you need to know what google adsense is
its actually pretty simple, an advertiser pays google to find relevant sites for their ads. Its all automatic, say this page is about welding, google will analyze it and automatically display ads relating to welding. If someone clicks the ad, the advertiser gets charged, the person whom is displaying the ad gets paid & google obviously takes a cut.
How much do they pay?
Anywhere from 1 cent to $10 / click. On average, expect 0.25-0.75. The more popular the content you add, the more traffic & clicks you’ll get.
how do you get involved
You would first of all need a google adsense account. Its very easy to get, go to adsense.com and sign up. After you are signed up you will be givin a publisher ID #. You would simply provide me with that ID# and I would place it into your content for you.
What parts of the site would your ads be shown on?.
Anything in the new “Blog” section or any video submission pages that you provided.
Well guys, that’s about it. Its a bit outside the box but I thought it would be neat to get some people involved with adding content and make a few bucks for their trouble. Adding content helps the site gain popularity and with it would be any of your submissions leading to more clicks & more dough for anybody interested….just think of it as beer money! :exci
To submit an article, just go to the menu & under the blog heading you’ll see submit a blog. Give it a title and do your write-up, click save..that’s it.
any questions or comments let me know, thanks!
AnonymousMarch 20, 2009 at 12:38 am #13489Should just add one thing, take this as an example page : http://www.refinishnetwork.com/blog/plastic-preperation-steps.html.
The image to the left and the text banner below the article would be the ad’s I’m referring to.
Not a bad idea! But there will likely be some redundancies and, perhaps, methods/procedures that
aren’t proper or generally accepted; that could potentially make everyone look bad.You posted some video links from Expert Village that i thought were questionable. Actually, there’s
a lot bad information out there. What sets this forum apart from the others is, of course, the regular professionals that take the time
to post pics and videos. OK, it’s mostly ding and bondomerchant (lately). 🙂What sort of vision do you have for this forum? Aside from making a few bucks (more power to ya!).
AnonymousMarch 20, 2009 at 6:54 am #13501My main goal is to get more people to come to the site & increase participation. The best way to do that is by adding content, which is among the top ways to increase your rank in the search engines. I thought offereing a little incentive would help get some more people involved in helping with that. You’ll never get rich, but it’s kinda fun seeing a few dollars accumulate as a result from the work you put into something.
I think I’ve already acheived what I wanted, just want to see it grow now. We have what I considered to be the best group of autobody technicians you’d find on the net. Everybody gets along for the most part, its fun, its laid-back and people are able to interact on a more personal level…(i.e .. shoutbox & ventrillo).
So basically, the end goal is to attract more good tech’s and even amateurs to build on what we’ve already got established.
Another thing in regard to the articles is your able to comment on them and discuss similarly to the forum. If someone disagrees and wants to comment the opportunity’s their. It wouldn’t be too different from someone making a controversal post.

AnonymousMarch 20, 2009 at 4:22 pm #13507It a bug that is supposedly fixed in the next upgrade of the forum, as soon as its released it will be fixed.
