I wanna give this clear a shot, I remember someone saying it was great on here before. Does it matter if I use the 2 pack vs the Standard? If not, I would prefer the 2 pack, esp since this time of the year we only would use the slow anyway. I looked online but couldnt find the Sikkens item number anywhere for these products. My jobber has to order it, he does not have it stocked.
Could someone please give me the Sikkens Item number for the Superior 250 2-Pack (Slow) clear, and the Superior 250 2-Pack Hardner?
Thanks

Superior 250 hardener 480808Just go with the 2 pack. Mix ratio is 2:1. You will love it
July 9, 2014 at 5:06 am #46951Sure its expensive but you will get more paint hrs out of it vs other clears as it goes a long way.You cant compare the cost per gallon you need to factor in usage and how far a gallon will go.Our cost is just under $500 and works out to about $90 a sprayable Litre and you can spray lots with that amount. You won’t know until you try it thats all I can say.
You get wat u pay for. I spray this clear every day and love it u cant go wrong with it. i have spray the latest dupont clear, and latest glasurit clear and sherwin williams clear. and just out of all those clears sikkens superior 250 2 pack is my favourite and easy to spray and like jay said it last long and its cheaper in the the end because u dont need to stock reducers
I agree as well, nicest low VOC clear that I’ve used. I also want to highlight the point about it going a long way.
As a comparison, using SW HPC 21, I use nearly 2x the clear by volume compared to the Superior 250. It is less expensive per gallon, but per job there really isn’t a giant difference. You will make good money with 250. Also consider the 250 accelerator if you need production and/or don’t have bake abilities. It is an awesome accelerator and doesn’t seem to affect the quality of the finish.
July 10, 2014 at 9:30 am #46958The older 3 pack version was pretty nice, but I think the 2 pack is a little bit nicer yet.
July 12, 2014 at 9:30 am #46967Yes a few times,I wasn’t spraying much sikkens at the time that stuff came out.I sprayed autoclear for the longest time then went to ACIII and HS+
Sorry to bump this up, but has anyone used the 2pack clear for larger completes?
I have been spraying the 2 pack for a little while now but have yet to come accross a big job so I am wondering how well it works.
I am referring to something like a complete on a full size minivan[. Does the slow stay open long enough for big jobs or will I run into dry spot issues?
October 12, 2014 at 11:58 am #47580I have been using it for almost a year and the old 3 pack superior 5 years before that.I have done many completes(trucks, large cars, vans etc) with it and it stays open longer than the 3pack,sprays a little nicer too IMO.I think you will be happy with it.
