Site Upgrading to New Server

Just letting you guys know that we’ll be moving this site to a VPS server, it is similar to a dedicated server. Currently it is shared with many other sites, so when their busy the site can slow down..etc. Since the site also shares the same IP address with others so if one site sends out spam email it can get our site blacklisted, resulting in users not getting their registration confirmation e-mails among other problems.
Anyhow, I’m not exactly sure when it will be taking place but if I anticipate the site being down for a little bit I’ll try and keep you guys informed.
I think we are good to go now, hopefully we’ll notice a speed improvement too. You may have gotten a memory limit exceeded error for much of the day…sorry!

after a bit of browsing I find a noticeable difference in the speed of the site, hope it works better for all….horray! :exci
My connection here is so slow (bad DSL service) I never noticed :lol1
I am noticing the site does slow down a bit under a load, gonna have them upgrade it again next month.
It was upgraded again today, more memory. Hopefully it should still be fast under a load now.
I got my DSL fixed the other day every thing seams to be booking it along just nicely
