I live in the midwest, and we are just starting to see some waterbase base coats being pushed, need to hear from some So Cal guys or Canada folks. Who’s better and why? Autowave, Cromax Pro, AWX, Envirobase, Aquabase Plus, 90 Line, Onyx HD ????

AWX Rules! None of the others even come close!!

(Note: My opinion may be somewhat biased) 🙂

I have used AWX for 2.5 years with no troubles, it sprays very well, and is simaler to solvent based, colour matches are exellent, dry times are fast, exellent tech support easy to nib sand, exellent product.

I’ve been able to try 3 so far, RM onyx hd, glasurit 90 line & dupont I don’t know what they called it. They were all good, my top choices would be dupont or RM. RM & Dupont had a 2 coat process, (1 wet, 1 dry) that was pretty quick, i liked that about them. I think onyx is definitely ahead of glasurit…most reps i talk with agree.
