Hi all i am buying a devilbis GTI w what size nosel etc should i get one for clear and one for basecoat. I have been told a 1.3 for base and a larger one for clear, can you help please thanks richard
October 5, 2011 at 3:13 pm #33375There s no good answer to that question. It is really based upon what specific basecoat and clearcoat your using. A 1.3 and a 1.4 are pretty universal but there are exceptions.
One word of caution on the GTI, they are air hogs and require around 15cfm. Make sure you have a sufficient air supply and the proper piping, hose size and length, and high flow couplers or the GTI will not perform well.
are you buying a gti or a gti pro
You could probably get away with 1.3 for base and clear and maybe have different air caps for each
This link will tell you what setup is best for each paint type

If for example you were using Lesonal Wb you would use a 1.3 setup for both and H1 cap for base, and a T1 cap for clear

aaah! yeah been wanting to do this but keep forgetting… i would rather have a plus than a GTI though! my fault for getting the GTI’s… i believe they both the same price too! or maybe 10$ more or so.
