Evening gentlemen,
Scenario: Bought a Devilbiss Finishline FLG4 “conventional” type which came with a 1.5 tip only. Would this be able to spray primer? I have used the same gun but the HVLP version with a 1.8 tip at school and got great results. (From research, noticed that 1.8 and 2.2 are the recommend size)
Thanks in advance
Most urethane primers spray best with something around a 1.8. Depending on the viscosity of the primer a 1.5 may work well. However it may be a struggle on larger jobs and in warmer weather. Watch your mil build as it won’t put out quite as much.
What particular primer do you intend to use?
