Thought maybe I should chronicle some of this job on here.. Been thinking if I do this it will make me work faster since I will have a thread that I need to update..
So after tonight I will post up some pics of this turd, uh I mean car:P
Even going to hack up about 50 holes in the body.. Customer wants it done, but she says she cant afford to pay me ot do the work and she is just such a sweet little old lady i have to delete the body moldings on the side for her just for the heck of it..
gonna be hack work at its best.. Bondo and Dinger will be sooooo proud:evil: 👿 👿
February 20, 2009 at 10:50 pm #12840ding would just pick up some of those conduit plugs at home depot where he most of his autobody supplys anyway an just snap them in the hole while drinking his sam adams then just paint em an sell it that way:woohoo:
February 21, 2009 at 12:49 am #12842now that you have a hired hand there bondo you obviously have too much time on your hands 😛
just wait till you need advise again :ohmy:February 21, 2009 at 12:49 am #12843:laugh:
Bondo, you know if you grind the little bit of copper coating that is on the newer pennys down.. You have perfect pieces of “metal” to bond to the backside of those holes, and no one will ever know they are pennys:P .. Little epoxy based adhesive and 12 holes are already deleted 😛 A smidgen of meow over them and they will be ready for G2:ohmy:
February 22, 2009 at 10:59 am #12898Ok its 2 am here.. I dont have any kind of normal sleep schedule anymore, but thats life so i am not getting much time in on the net.. except for maybe facebook:P

February 22, 2009 at 11:10 am #12901still have the rust in the quarters and outer wheel tubs to take care of.. Going to get started on that tomorrow afternoon.. after that… its getting some kitty hair over the patched hole area’s, then on with the G2.. If I were laid off like I had been all last year, it would be done already..
Like I said in an earlier post, I got rid of the trim holes for this owner because she was such a sweet little old lady.. I ended up doing it differently since I was not being paid, however I am confident there wont be any issue’s down the road B)
AnonymousFebruary 22, 2009 at 4:59 pm #12905Wow, looks like you got your hands full!
that a boy BK, can’t wait to see the finished pics.
February 28, 2009 at 3:16 am #13019did a little work today.. blasted some with my new blaster.. I hate doing that work. just makes a mess of me and everything around me.. still working in the quarters and wheel tubs also,. found more cancer when I started cutting away the bad metal.. Would like to have it masked up, the rest of the blasting done and it in poly primer Sunday.. Ill cross my fingers:P
February 28, 2009 at 8:18 pm #13033spread a little concrete mud and kitty hair over trim hole area’s..
Hope to get the metal all finished up today in quarters and wheel tubs.. then I can mask and do my poly prime

March 4, 2009 at 5:17 am #13115Its nothing major bro.. you know, cut out bad metal, weld in new.. grind welds..etc.. weld up holes my studwelder pins made when they popped off and took the metal they were welded to with em 😛
I have a 46 street rod truck to do sometime this summer.. I will post up the metal work on that one.. It will need everything.. floor, firewall, cab corners, rockers blah blah blah.. Besides, its worthy of a write up, where as this car, well its just not worth the extra time.. When its finished it will still look like a little old ladies car  with a slick paint job.. White wall tires, factory rims yada yada yada.. Yeah baby yeah :woohoo:
