Looks good…Let me guess…More Heat, Less Material?? Usually works for me when I get too much material building. Cleaning the metal thoroughly before welding is a huge must for clean welds too.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I’ll have to go get me a piece of tile.

    Nice Vids..thanks for sharing. I learned a few things….

Maybe I missed it but what were you using for a mixing board and to clean it? I normally use a piece of cardboard but would rather use something I can clean and re-use instead of tearing up boxes. :lol1

What do you think about using a different color hardener for the second coat so you can see where you have been?

Good idea on taping the Jams…

So on the Doors… you cut the paper to the shape of the doors or did you just fold the paper back and then tape?

Looks like I need to take more time taping.

Ha Ha..Yes, The VW/Audi group is not always looked at in a postive light…But, I have much respect for any car that is being restored.

I hope to build/restore a 66′ or 67′ Chevy Nova some day. But for now, It’s Big Turbos and Euro for me.

Thanks for letting me back on the site :rofl
