how often are you changing out your hose? i change mine out every year i was told every six months but i dont paint that often. if you are heating your booth to 140plus temps that can really deteriorate a hose quickly

i cant get away from the 8115 with the glass beads in it you cant over clamp, and it has rust inhibitors you dont have to prime the surface prior to application and if your estimator is not giving you money for priming adjacent weld panels its great.
i have used the others but some have a horrendous smell
3M rep says they will have the 8115 in the DMS gun cartridge by the end of the year

water borne sealer over that will help hide the line……….we were doing a lot of the early 2000’s firebird and camaro roofs made of that SMC/Fibre the factory adheasive would show through the paint if sanded to coarsley if repaired.

a lot of the big names like service queen, gerbil, sterluck, all pay their painters 11-12 per flag hours but get product bonuses almost like a painter buy system.

and a shop that is benchmarked will make about 30-40% net margin so if he is doing 100k in business he makes 30k profit and if he is smart is putting 15% in a PDF so he is making 15% net. 15K if he is doing 50k in sales 7.5k would be his take home and so on so it could be possible if it is a slow or below average shop or if he had credit extended to open the business takes most shops 3.5 years to get in the black

just sprayed sherman williams planet color ; WaterBorne Candy at school this past week…… i was impressed but super high in price. i have ppg vibrance concentrates and use cumberlands carrier/blending clear so it helps with the cost. I am HOK and PPG certified and have used plenty of HOK
lately if i am spraying solids i have been using waterborne base coats because the yellows, reds, blues, and greens have a stronger color pops.

next level if you are using the euro clear in the red can are you using the reducer? that product can be activated as well. also keystone clears are some of the best on the market they use high quality polymers with top quality active solvents. one more thing and it is a very important thing the keystone euro clear is it is high in SOLIDS it has 49% solids and if laid on too wet it will run. also the most important thing to tell your painter is that euro clear will flow out it has; A SELF LEVELING AGENT only found in high dollar clears this clear is formulated after the ICINexacolor 630 clear. so if your painter is trying to lay it down slick he will run it.
this clear has a 24 hour window to buff or it will be a bit difficult to buff. I think the set up you are using is PRIMO i use Lesonal/Akzo nobel base and Keystone Clears with Pro Prime from Keystone and keystone waterborne sealer and i have great results with the product. and more money in my pocket because of it, i have had my shop benchmarked and i am above the average in profit margins. relatively zero rechecks

also the keystone multipanel clear in the blue can is formulated after the old dupont V7500 clear and any painter that knows his stuff will tell you how good that stuff was. so i dont buy the keystone clears are crap KNOWLEDGE is key.
the Pro Clear from keystone is a 4:1 clear that is better than any other clear that is at the price point $65 a kit.

I WAS READING THIS THE OTHER DAY WITH MY STUDENTS. THEY COMPARE CAPA AFTERMARKET PARTS WHICH COST MORE THAN JUST PLAIN AFTERMARKET PARTS, CAUSE THEY SUPPOSED TO BE CERTIFIED. …LOL GM’S COMPARISION BASICALLY SHOWS THAT THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN THE AFTERMARKET AND AFTERMARKET CAPA PARTS.
EVEN THOUGH MANY SHOPS HAVE BEEN BUYING CAPA PARTS THINKING THEY WERE OR ARE SUPERIOR. LOL
