That was my guess as well.

Wonder if using that on an Audi makes him feel dirty like bondo? :rofl

Just tell the guy to go out and buy a gt-350 fibeglass hood. Or,,, tell him to keep what he has and have the visible seam. Or,,,, make a scoop outta steel. A hood is tough to bond something to without it cracking later.
Open the door where the spool of wire is, there you will find suggested starting settings for the gauge of steel you are practicing on. This gives a good starting point to fine tune your feed and amps. You will know when your setup is right by practicing. Good clean sheet metal is what you should try on, and probably a little on the thick side, then when your laying beads confidently move on to thinner stuff.
^^^^ What he said, A Mig shouldn’t take you to long to get the hang of. Unless you’ve got a roller slipping or some other minor feed problem, those factory settings should be damn close.

pnlbtr’s responses should get you where you need to be here.

Good luck finding a golf course that’ll let those tires any where near the course.

People went nuts for those things around here the last few years.

Hey ding, you got any pics of that Monte out in the sun. I’d like to see how that turned out. The longer lick flames like that are the style I like best.:)
