Looks good ding. Hope they don’t scratch it installing the grille and bumpers.
March 2, 2011 at 4:31 pm #28984
not mention, you should of made a v grove in the repair area. and how many times did you put mud on that thing?
I thought v grooving is a no no on these type repairs, the front side should be sanded to a dish shape vs. a v groove.
February 22, 2011 at 2:44 am #28812Could you post up a few pics of some of these award winning rides that the paint companies should be chomping at the bit to get their products on? :welc
The paint supplier won’t give me anything, but my boss let’s me buy stuff through the shop account.
February 20, 2011 at 9:37 pm #28772Yes that Mustang turned out horrible. Hate to think how bad it looked in person. I consider it a marketing failure. Showed first hand how crappy that stuff is.
On the other hand that dually with the summit paint surprised me. Looked like it covered nice and laid down decent. :pcorn:

February 14, 2011 at 12:53 am #28466We have one at the shop. Works really good, great for popping out glass and releasing bonded on door skins or other panels, However, one tech I work with says he won’t touch it because he’s had a few combacks due to wind noise in the cowl, turns out it separted a bonded on panel along with the glass. It will also burn and blister paint around whatever glass your working on. We use a gel around the glass to prevent this.
