I bought this can of SEM Trim black fro mthis store, its not even the original SEM label. I think they divided the
gallons and copied the label and taped it to the can.
Anyway on the label it asks to be thinned 1:1 with a “good quality acrylic lacquer thinner”.
But in the TDS in SEM website ( http://sem.ws/images/tech_files/TRIM%20TDS.pdf ) it asks to be reduced 1:1 with
SEM SR reducer. So what should I do? :wak
I used it un-reduced…it’s been awhile but I don’t recall it being heavy bodied at all….I used my 1.2 mini-jet without a problem.
30 PSI on a LPH? :woohoo:
That is damn high.
Mines lucky if I ever crank it over 20…
RP guys always have trouble with Iwata’s they just don’t seem to understand that the less air you put through it the better.Looks like it turned out good though.
Apparently..:S yer supposed to set the air psi with all adjustments wide open and trigger pulled all the way…I set it at around 26 or so…( anything less is too slow for me ) but it crept up to 30 or so when I spray ( 2.5 turns out…about a turn in on the fan.
Looks good charlie, nice work,Ive always been a fan of novas.Have you ever tried any of the lesonal clears, glamour clear is a nice product and not much more money than 4.0 clear.Do you like the lph or have you tried the w-400 compliant gun?
Thanks…I’m going to buzz the trunk lid and hit it again…didn’t flow out quite as nice…that along with the trash in it ( it was sitting by the intake ) it will be easier. I’ve used the Lesonal Universal Clear..it’s the shop clear…it’s nice..but the Select is cheaper :)..it’s a bit ‘yellow’r than the Lesonal but OK for completes. This is the first Iwata I’ve tried…I’m going to fart with it some more but it looks like a keeper.
