There’s a reason our Technical Schools use nothing but SATAs, they are taken apart and reassembled and handled ( probably abused ) more than they should, a gun of lesser quality would not be up to the task. I’ve only had mine for 9yrs, of the 5 SATAs I have, no issues other than a Dist Ring in my KLC primer gun.
Been lurking around here for a few moths and decided i would join in. My name is Paul, I just recently began a new career at BASF as a technical rep. I was on the floor for the last 13 years. Ive sprayed everything under the sun and still do a heavy amount of custom work out of my personal home shop. I also do spray on chrome. Been using ONYX water since 07 and have been spraying the new low VOC onyx for close to 3 months until joining BASF. I look forward to networking with you guys and sharing some of my custom projects with you guys as well as some videos showing some products in action
Welcome Paul! :cheers
That flexible sanding paper is a copy of the kovax I’ve been using this past few months which from what I here is both better and cheaper than the 3m variant.

    http://www.eagleabrasives.com/assilex.html

The super assilex orange is fantastic for blending clear I’ve almost completely swapped to their line now inc da discs which I think last longer than 3m.

    Anyone else using their stuff?
I called on a price for the 3M sheets 400-800gr( box of 25) =$52. Eagles are slightly cheaper in the US, but to get them here for me would work out to about the same I figure.

Not sure if this is the ‘hookit’ you are referring to Jimmo…( digging up an old thread I see ) but I got a few samples of the “Flexible Abrasive Sheets” in the link. I just gotta say..I’m digging this stuff.
the UV protection in the UK is superb ,its called clouds and they completly block out the UV for most of the year ,the rain pruduced also keeps those candied bikes in the garage and out of harms way :P

this should be interesting :stoned
So how did you come to this conclusion? I just have to ask what kind of work and what kind of materials do you use?
C’mon Jay…we all know he’s a Sagola guy all the way :).
