I gotta admit, all the years I have been spending my time on overalls and muscle cars, I could have made more money doing little jobs like this I think.. The turn around is tons faster and since you can do more cars like this I think the money is better, especially since the economy has taken a dump here in the US..
Well boys I sanded down the poly (G2) last night, so this morning its getting 3 coats of spi turbo 2k… I have to prime it instead of just sealing it.. It has alot of bodywork already in the hood and *** paint job that as I broke thru the poly last night was not feathering and I could scratch it off with my nail down to one of the other paint jobs:huh: Yeah I said 1 of the OTHER paint jobs:P

I saw that. Just think of the candy as a single stage metallic. if you put it on too wet it will move on you. to get the color you are looking for your likely gonna have to do 5 coats. dont be afraid to go light with 75% overlap on the first 3 coats. you can always put more on to darken it up but those first coats are critical in getting an even surface.

what brand candy. House of Kolor urethane candys are reduced with urethane reducer and they also have a hardener. if its a basecoat candy then just the same reducer as the base.the kid was actually think of it after he looked at it. but decided against itB)

got a hard line 2tone. just faded it for start its a ’95i made em pull the handles while i filled the holes in the bedB) then they tried to tape the liners but never cleaned em. my cousin spent 2 hours trying to tape it. i spent 1 hour untaping his crap and retaping it
