What exactly are your steps?

Detailed information will help. Regardless of polishing system/brands, you
can achieve good/great results.

I remember mixing that color. It’s been a few years and only done a few
Audi’s… Yes, it was tricky (but nice).

show some pics in various angles and lighting conditions. Anyhow, Stone is right
bumpers are slightly off in color from the factory. If you get a chance, check
out other Audi’s…

Ryan, im old school with anchor pots and a rusty pull post. Tedious but works…

i’m not very skilled with heavy body work. Sure i can R&R the quarter myself
but it’s much more efficient to hire someone while i attend to other smaller
jobs. Most of my work is customer pay and everyone is scheduled days, weeks
and sometimes months in advance. Immediate insurance work is priority and that
can mess up my schedule. So, hiring someone is the best thing to do.
Looks excellent Han, let me get this straight, Transtar No Mix? you actually like the stuff and it sells for 30 bucks a pint? thats a low voc system right? and it has excellent color match?
That’s what i’m claiming.

AAE, i hired a hired a guy to R&R the quarter. He’s much faster. Could work
a bit cleaner though. But he’s very used to working in a fast paced shop.
i’m a slug to most other shops. Actually, my pace is normal… Book time
around 80 hours; got it done in way under 40.

i haven’t mixed my own colors in a long time. Don’t have the volume anymore
to purchase a setup. Still can as it’s fairly cheap. i pay around $30/pint
and it’s ready anywhere between 15 minutes to a few days depending on the job.
My guy is good, he has the “eye” for it. Not just skilled but talented…

If yall are looking into a cost effective basecoat system, Nomix should be
on your list. GREAT coverage, easy to shoot and great metallics. Reminds
me of RM…
