From another shop that refused warranty…This is what happens when you don’t seal e-coat:

New hood (sealed) and with a lifetime warranty:

surface wise, it looks to be similar to a small car

Hm…thats right, most of you drive on dirt roads. None of my customers do
so that’s why i see no major issues or excessive chipping. Damn city boys… 😉

adpro = Adhesion Promoter primarily designed for raw plastics.

Shop owner or employee, it’s all stressful. Getting the weekends off to spend
time with family is a good thing. Working everyday, even though i enjoy it,
it gets to ya. Still, just having work in this economy is excellent. So be
    grateful for that. i am.

im not a production shop. i know most of my customers well and get to see
my own jobs regulary. In a fast paced production shop, you probably never get
to chat with the owners nor see your own work regulary…

im sure you take pride in your work. otherwise you wouldn’t be here like the rest
    of us

lild, please seal e-coat before basing and just use adpro for raw covers. 🙂

Not lasting as long as it should… i know for certain that it does last
for many years. Four plus years without failure is good enough for me.
Anyhow, sealing raw plastic is no big deal and obviously not critical.
Basing over ecoat…that will fail for sure.

100’s of raw covers with a 99% success rate is good enough for me.
So go ahead and adpro, prime, seal, prime, seal and do two back flips
before basing to get your warranty on. 😉

Wow, i thought painting raw plastic bumper covers was pretty standard.
Issues with Bull Dog?? And Adhesion promoter is it??

What you all smoking? Please, pass the cush this way.

    Some of you will remember:

Paint is still on there. After 100’s of covers, i should have noticed
issues with this method by now. There aren’t any to mention.

    Very nice as usual!

Why are you priming? You can save lots of time and materials by simply scuffing,
two coats of Bulldog Adhesion Promoter (aerosol is fast) then bc/cc. And you can
kick the base for durability/chip resistance. The paint on the grille is already
a good primer to shoot over.
