It will work fine for you,HS+ is more like a MS clear so a bigger tip will work better.I use a 1.4 with EP250 all the time, not sure why it wouldn’t.An LPH is painfully slow, can’t really compare it to an RP,apples and oranges kind of thing.
November 6, 2011 at 5:03 am #34053It’s all good U.P.P. everyones opinion is useful and we all spray different. That’s what makes this site great,it has more guys who spray everday than any other on the net.I have never really been able to love my 3000rp,it is a nice gun, sprays everything really well, but I like my first gen rp and 4000rp better. If you tried a 1.4 in the 4000rp it will handle those clears better,I changed out my 1.3 and it performs like a dream.I have never liked the digital versions of any model RP,I have always used non digital for comfort.

November 1, 2011 at 7:05 am #33951If you add more reducer you increase your chances of solvent pop and dieback. If you turn up your air pressure a few psi you can do the same thing as adding more reducer but it is safer.
October 31, 2011 at 4:54 am #33936One more vote for concept VS essential, essential is not really user friendly and very slow like Ben said.
October 29, 2011 at 6:32 pm #33886Might even be a touch more,Sikkens HS+ is barely a high solid product,I was talking about spi HS clear, they don’t make it anymore or do they?
October 29, 2011 at 6:21 pm #33884No I don’t know too much about SPI but heard there MS clear has higher percentage than universal and they stopped making HS,50% area?I have used some universal clear on a couple of jobs just to try it out.You are lucky where you are,I miss numerous products that I can no longer get
October 29, 2011 at 6:07 pm #33882Barely at about 40%,slightly more solids than ACIII ,but I thought you used SPI clears exclusively. Most of the HS clears on the market fall into that category.HS+ stays open for a very long time so you can get away with spraying it like you do.You have numerous choices on how fast or slow to make HS+,either super slow with autocryl hardener vs. rapid hardener or extra slow activator vs.rapid,medium,standard.
October 29, 2011 at 5:38 pm #33878Try it the other way and see if it works. With a low voc high solids clear(70%) it will kick you in the balls :p
October 29, 2011 at 9:19 am #33867How about the smell of delstar first thing in the morning when you walk in the shop 😡 Those were the days :rofl How about old dupont 80s red oxide lacquer,or miracryl :p
October 29, 2011 at 7:46 am #33864An rp is super quiet compared to an old devilbiss jga at 55psi :rofl Your lucky you didn’t have to use the old high pressure conventional guns 😛
