i was going to say, i sprayed ppg for 15 yrs now. rarely did i ever needed more than 3 coats to hide.
here’s the finish product. the guy wanted the flares and bumpers and the push bar paint glossy black. really didn’t care for that. but my opion doesn’t pay the bills.

thanks guys, got a couple of vids. here.
jason the white paper works very well, haven’t had a problem with bleed throughs. we did use the blue but went back to the white cuase it was cheaper.
andy t i used a standard gray sealer. solid reds in the ppg seem to cover very well, it covered in 3-4 coats.

    enjoy the vids.

    U did a great job.

The thing to consider is you r selling it, u will only get so much, I wouldn’t spend a lot of time on it. Sand paint ss, for sale, your happy, who ever buys it will b happy.

Here’s my thought. U want to sell it, fix what needs to be fix, prime just fixed areas. Later sand everything w/400 grit da, and shoot it in singlstage. I mean as u pointed out a 87′ caddy never will be a collectors car. & u want to sell it, there’s no need to put a lot of material & time in to it. And it can be done in a day. U have to consider what you will get for it vs what u ask for.If any one ask maco did it.

welcome to the site. you could of left the part out that you work for the bad guys. but we always like blend time. it saves a lot of headaches, and a lot of phone calls.

    welcome.
i like the last car, the sanding job on the hood makes an intresting design. clear it, wash it, put it out front to go. lol.
actually a nice 2 tone job on that one would look sweet.
