i won a tekna last year off this site and ive been using it with the 7e7 cap since. i havent used it for water yet but ive used it for color and clear without any disappointment yet. its actually the best gun ive used and before i bought an rp i was considering buying a second one. i tried the 909 air cap a couple times but the 7E7 works better in my perspective. its definitely worth its price tag. the only thing id do is ditch the cup and get a dekups system for it instead. i think i have an old thread about it.

i remember reading somewhere that castings shouldnt be media blasted ever or else you risk opening pores that could result in leaks or oil sweating which are hard to detect without some form of testing.

so maybe just a real good degreasing is all thats necessary to make paint stick

i would go with an epoxy primer because they are known to hold up during extreme temperatures.

the steel roll up doors as suggested suck. they have numerous gaps horizontally and then along the channels on the sides. if anything i liked bondomerchants spray booth door. its just a regular garage door but it looks well insulated and much fewer gaps. its also cheaper :kofee

ive had pretty good results with Farecla products so i think you may be sanding too course or using the compound incorrectly. try using a wool pad, moist, and refine your sand areas with 3000 grit if possible.

i like to use a block for final sanding or to check my work against. it takes too long without a DA or mudhog when u have an entire car that needs plastic work.
ford vermilion red dont even think of guards red
very true, i use this color for a certain taxi company and for an ambulance company. its so red it begins to mess with your eyes when spraying it.

think i found your problem :stoned , i dont think poly primer is intended to be baked. i looked at several different manufacturers and none of them suggest anything about baking or force drying.

at first i was thinking that you over baked (like too long or too soon), but now i think u may have blocked wrong. id take it back to steel and do it again. too much polyester spray or filler will cause cracks in the finish with a little help from the sun since its in direct constant exposure.
