Thanks Han! and keep posting those jobs like I suggested a while ago. They are truly inspirational as I think we all strive here for perfection.
Bondo, it was a great please talking with yea, I felt like I was talking to someone famous after watching your youtube videos haha.
Anyhow, the fiberglass stuff is pretty much simple. Sort of how “simple” it is for your to paint something, well that is how fiberglass is for me. I plan to improve on the simplness of painting hehe
BTW I did the tissue test, and i am golden, however I did have to blow myself off after I was done. I had little tissue particles over me heh.
You got that right! The majority of these fab jobs are all sanding, and pretty much shaping duraglass with 36grit. You know how fun that is!
The painting is the easy part, but I need to find a solution to the problem I am having with my clear coat. Need to keep practicing to try and eliminate these little pin holes in my clear. I know I can elminate my system as I have it rigged correctly for mosture and oil.
Hi Brian,Glad you made it & welcome. Just looking thorough your gallery and man that is some nice looking work! I always thought mobile paint repair seemed interesting but I can tell you spot repair is a much bigger challenge then normal full panel jobs. Before moving on to spot repair you should try and get down painting larger panels. Blowing in some colors will drive you up the wall.
You are exactly right! I have no intetions of getting close to spot repair, but more of full panel jobs. Something really attractes me to bumper repair. It must be because I work well with plastic. Anyhow as you mentioned, I need to get my painting down first. With no formal training, it is a bit hard, however I believe when your self taught, you learn so much more through your mistakes
