We have sprayed Dupont for over 15 years now and have been told by our reps that Dupont absolutely will not warranty anything that has any aerosol product on it. Even if its a Dupont aerosol. As for the product itself they don’t even compare. In my opinion the aerosols shouldn’t be used for anything other than minor break throughs on 1983 Honda Civics.

This can also happen if your detail station is too close to your paint booth or prep station. All the waxes, tire shines, and cleaning products that are sprayed can get sucked into the spray booth. I’ve also seen this happen if a diesel engine is running near the booth or the air intake of the booth(not as bad as the picture). A clean paint job is a happy paint job.

Have you tried activating your base? And also using a less aggressive masking tape. We use the 3m yellow tape, for waterborne, because it has a less aggressive stick than the green.
Can I just ask why the wing and door was left and you didn’t whip a coat round the whole car. Or was it insurance and they didn’t allow it. I know it’s a little bit more work but I think it makes more sense to re base it all the trying to blow and blend every where :)
No Damage near those panels. And yes Insurance doesn’t want to pay a penny more than they have to. But there wasn’t any color applied to the edges of the adjacent panels.

To avoid having to clear blend just show the insurance the paint companies memo saying they wont warranty any paint that has been clear blended. Most paint companies have them. Even I-Car has a document saying not to clear blend. After enough times they stop asking you to do it.

Looks Great. I kinda like that color. At least they didn’t get carried away and have you spray the wiper arms too. We’ve had customers do that.

I notice you do your blend panels with the full color panels off the vehicle. Any reason for that? I always found it a little easier to blend with the full color panel on.

Rikka- we dont do a lots of it. But its becoming more popular. We have really bad weather. Tons of salt on the roads, rust is a big problem.
MoCoke- No this is QwikLiner then sealed colored and cleared. Has to be painted within 4 hours of application so on big jobs time can get a little tight.

Really nice work Jeremy. I like that you took the time to do the underside of the vehicle too. Why is it always so hard to find those one that just sit in some garage for 25 years..

Im no electrician, but grounding to a gas line might not be the best idea. Just my thoughts.
