like i said black is easy. :lol1
Yes black is easy..sometime will try a gold out..Picked a color that is never difficult in solvent either to get a hang of how the water base likes to be applied..Did this car with water as never have a chance of panel painting that color in the dbc. found a variant in the water chips that was a good match.. sprayed it and it was a good match like u have been saying seems to be better matches with the Enviro base even tho i am sure there are still colors that need to be tinted..

Not just a metallic, but a pearl even 😆

So how was your first outing with water base? The job clearly turned out well, but how did you find it for application?
It went really well and seems to spray really well..

Get a color wheel from your paint company that you are using that lists the toners on it and where each toner fits on the wheel..example some blues have a green tone..some have a red.. The more u do it the easier it becomes.. but like ryan said if u have to spend to much time tinting it is faster to blend a panel out which i agree with..

Looking good..Body filler loves bare metal..:weights.. For the stripes your getting in the metallics what kinda gun? tip size? reducer temp you are using? use 75-85% overlap. gun proper distance away from panel. putting base on way to wet with improper spraying technique..

180 or 240.. i would use 240 on a da..as i don’t like using anything coarser on plastic if u go down to the plastic as too coarse on plastic gouges it up to much IMO..also don’t hammer on your first coat of primer. a medium coat and let it flash good. then a couple more medium-wet coats as that is what that primer likes if u get it on to wet it likes to shrink up into a ball and roll on to the floor..:woohoo:

Adhesion promotor on the bare plastic. and alittle 814 flex additive in that primer should take care of that issue and that primer looks like its got 1/2 inch build on it.. so flex additive wouldn’t help much if its that thick..
