where ya from protect. the travelrs ajusters around me are good guys. but like any good company there can be idiots working for them and visa versa. bad companies can have some good people working for them.
I’m in South Florida (Palm Beach/Broward).

You’re totally right about there being some bad and some good in every company.
I can always see the texture of the sand scratches when i only use one coat. not gouges like i sanded to rough but the even texture of the scratches showing through. not something the average person will se but I know its there so I usually do 2coats.
Ever try a colorless base coat? That usually works for this problem, especially on light colors. Alot of people use this on blend and blend within panels and some insurance companies will pay extra for it to avoid giving full refinish time.

protect what do you think of travelers?
Funny you ask. I’m actually a Sr. Appraiser for them. I hope that doesn’t make you guys look at me differently? I’d love to provide an inside perspective to the dark side of the industry. Even though the law is black n white, many insurance companies do things completely different. We actually try to do the right thing and conceed to customers when many problems arise.

Don’t Independants get paid to write supplements, so they need to write as much (or more??) damage initially so they don’t waste more time on the rebound?

Thanks for the help everyone. We’re mostly Dupont, but that’s most likely gonna change soon. I’m trying to get as much info about Sikkens ahead of time so I can prepare a little.

ryanbrown999 – why did your shop switch from Sikken to Dupont? What are the positives and/or negatives from the move? From what I gather, Sikkens (Akzo Nobel) is sold directly by them and not a middle man vendor like other brands. I’m wondering if this difference means anything?
