Bare metal up is a ton of work.
When you’re starting to talk materials that are involved in a full bare metal up being more than the truck is worth. And then start factoring in the hours. For a 90s chevy?
Me personally. I may strip it back to the primer. But I probably wouldn’t go further than that depending on how bad the peeling actually is.The only thing I would question with Masking the red, Spray masking it then unmasking the red would be how clean of a line can spray mask really create?
I mean you can’t really peel it to cut your lines… So I’m not too sure. The design looks like a masking nightmare.
I would either try some Sticky Mickey’s (Or some other Adhesive masking film sheets) then razoring out the red stripe.Judging by the design you wont be able to run a single sheet around that mess… But you could probably use the 6 inch, and just put it in each of the spokes 45* angle. then bonding all the sheets together in the middle.
That’s pretty crazy stuff… Most people here would have drug that much damage out for at least a week. :lol1
Amazing how fast you can get stuff done when you’re paying by the hour to rent a booth. 😉I’ll bet it took longer to mask that plate then it would have been to remove the two screws. :rofl
