Bare metal up is a ton of work.
When you’re starting to talk materials that are involved in a full bare metal up being more than the truck is worth. And then start factoring in the hours. For a 90s chevy?
Me personally. I may strip it back to the primer. But I probably wouldn’t go further than that depending on how bad the peeling actually is.It’s looking real good Barry.

I just couldn’t imagine how you wouldn’t end up with a dry spray on your blending edge?
The only thing I would question with Masking the red, Spray masking it then unmasking the red would be how clean of a line can spray mask really create?
I mean you can’t really peel it to cut your lines… So I’m not too sure.The design looks like a masking nightmare.
I would either try some Sticky Mickey’s (Or some other Adhesive masking film sheets) then razoring out the red stripe.Judging by the design you wont be able to run a single sheet around that mess… But you could probably use the 6 inch, and just put it in each of the spokes 45* angle. then bonding all the sheets together in the middle.

Stuff is like a sponge, and whatever it sucks up has to come out sooner or later (Typically on a nice hot day in the sun)Looks good to me.
