I like the DP31 in RM or Glasurits….not exactly sure on the numbers, black and white ones, something like 285-38 & 285-49 maybe.

The paper is amazing with a dust free setup, I use it with the 3M vac sanders. The paper lasts way longer compared to the 3M gold, I am not that familiar with carborundum paper. It would be cost effective only if its in a place where guys are using the disc to its entire life, low-waste shop.

I see a lot of people are fans of the plastic welder, we actually just picked one up and its been working great. I’d still be interested to see strength comparisons, my assumption would be epoxy to be stronger as I presume the rods are just a thermoplastic compared to the thermosetting epoxy. I don’t really know the ins and outs of that technology tho.

For epoxy repairs I believe a very gradual taper is prefered to the V-grove.I’ve seen several fella’s skip that and just hit it with 80 and slapped the epoxy to er without problems. Not exactly how I’d do it but what a ya gonna do.

Spray a coat of BC100 (reduced normally) over your blend area before you start, makes blending a hell of a lot easier. I am not sure how the supernova handles diamont but I know my LPH400 sprayed it much better with a larger tip (1.4), the other painter at our shop prefered the 1.4 on his GTI too. That stuff works well applied wet. Its a great paint line, once you start throwing down BC100 I’m sure you’ll find blending a hundred times easier.

Welcome, interested to hear about how things differ over in Russia. We have a fair amount of visitors but I dont think we have anybody posting from that country.

I know with the BASF system, and i’d think they’d all be the same, if you trap water it will delaminate quickly….usually when the pressure washer hits it for the cleanup. Solvent will do the same thing but it takes longer, the solvent tries to evaporate but cant go anywhere and over time it can create a barrier between the base and clear causing it to seperate. If you think back you’d probably find that over the years most colors you see delaminate are your transparent ones….reds,yellows..etc.

ya dc92 is very drippy, not a bad clear if ya get used to spraying it. I’ve got a 5 gallon pail I’m slowly working threw, like it for completes though. The worst is when you bake it, it seems to increase the chance of runs drastically. I ignore the bake immediately for best results on this clear and give it 15 mins to set up. Far from a production clear.
