(Jimmo to lazy to re-loggin under his account)

I’m not familiar with that color, I’ll pull up a chip out the deck tommorow…looks nice, it must have quite a flip as it looks like a different color in each photo. I no the feeling with the dirt, the other painter at my shop can spray a clean job after rolling in a pile of sand & mine usually need a bit of finessing. It drives me nuts, not something I can learn in a book!

I’ve been using G2 for a little while now with no issues at all. I use a devilbiss finishline with a 1.8 and it has been excellent. It sprays well, just more orange peely than my urethanes.. I’d giver another shot, this stuff has been working very well for me…. Other than that, I liked the glasurit poly primer…but much more $$$$….It sanded a bit easier, filled better, but went on like gravel guard. Theirs a few guys here using it and I think are quite happy with it (G2). Bondomerchant got me onto it & I think Dinger uses it too..

(just realized I was in my admin account, its jimmo for anyone that doesn’t know)

It was a freebie on my sister in-laws, and I’m lazy = no r&I’s…..I did drop the bumper though, hard to tell their….

I don’t think I could spray left-handed, I can barely spray with my right!!! I miss that RP i got to demo, way faster!! One day I’ll add it to the collection.

I’ve heard a few people suggest setting the wall close to your gun, I’ve always had it higher (around 80) and set my psi at the gun. I think its more to prevent a surge of pressure when you first pull the trigger but don’t quote me on that. Its nice to get that superslick finish but for the most part a nice, maybe a bit better than factory finish is all I get on my production work, the texture needs to match the panel next to it still!

The finishes I cant stand are the really sucked in ones where they look terrible under a fluorescent light but when they get outside their fine. I get the odd one when I try and speed up a clear too much & I’ve seen it in the past with certain sealers. Everyone else seems to be happy with them except me…and ya, it bothers me too.

(by the way this is still jimmo, i forgot to log out of the admin account and am too lazy to change it now)

Also, If you wish to resize the image, you can make it bigger or smaller by changing the image size (=450) higher or lower.

Bfreze, I believe the refresh problem has been fixed. It seemed the shoutbox was causing a lot of problems, so I have removed it and temporarily made an external one available for now. I believe the site speed problem has been resolved also. Let me know if you experience any more problems. thanks!

Alright I’ve got a better solution until the patch is released, You can now change your forum preferences / signatures in the my profile tab at the top of the discussion forum. You’ll end up having 2 profiles sort of, I’ll integrate them when I get the update. both profiles will still share the same avatar which you will need to change by selecting “change avatar” from the user menu.

    March 30, 2008 at 12:48 pm #10033

also with the signature’s, its part of the profile bug which I’m awaiting a patch for in mid April. I was going to go with a different profile editor but this one seems to have many nice features and will be a nice addition once they release the compatibility patch for the type of site I’m using. If you want a signature added for now please feel free to msg me & I can add it for you. I’ll see if I can find a better solution until then.
