epoxy is fine. you really want to keep etch away from filler or paint. epoxy is an excellent choice for protecting metal. most productions shops would just put urethane over the bare metal.

well they look good there jimmo. you even r+i’d them:laugh: . and thats the slickest clear i’ve seen you lay down. how come you cant do that on the cars:P .
you may have to dull them down though. the glare seems like it could be annoying. maybe just a little flattener in the clearThats a sata3000rp with a 1.2. when you paint a car a week its easy to keep the booth clean:blush: .
Bloverby, this is only the second time i shot the 5020. its pretty similar just a little more expensive. they seem to spray about the same. i’ve heard that the 15420 is the 5020 pre-reduceddoes this make ya feel better:P

wasnt boxed in at all. most of the tape was on shiny paint past anywhere primer was going.
only took about 3 minutes to mask it all of too:Ptrust me. it still needs undercoat and is gonna get a bunch.:blush: . i just wanted to seal the bare metal;)
