i just painted it. its for the 14 year old kid up the street. he did all the prep work. fiberglassed the rust, spray can prime. $100 gl martin senour farm enamel that doesnt have hardener (we did put some in though). prepped with 220 and a scuff pad. now that its drying all the sand scratches are showing and all the checks in the paint, etc. the kids just happy its not that yellow cream color it started out as.

For $7000 I’ll do all this and wetsand/buff the entire truck when finished and I’ll give you a Han detail. He’ll probably ask, “what’s a Han detail” just tell him, “Trust me it’s good and will take hours” lol[/quote]

    :rofl :rofl :rofl

I’ve learned never to just give a ballpark. thats usually when you underprice it and kick yourself. always tell them you need to figure out your costs and you’ll get back to them. no matter how much they pressure you for that rough bid. the guy will have 4k in his mind now and no matter what you tell him from here on out thats all he’ll want to pay. of course you could tell him it was just 4k for the outside. all the jambs will cost him another $2500;)
