Thats what I was thinking thats some tuff stuff! But its so flipping slow to cure the 3m super any way thats why I asked how long he had to leave it clamped up.
I bet thats part of why its so strong The slower the cure time the stronger the bond.
Thats what I have heard any way.Believe it or not a lot of newer aircraft are mostly Glued together with similar adhesives and not just small aircraft but Large airliners too!
Hi Easy
Ya Bondo’s been Talking about you I enjoyed finaly seeing that Stude I like em too.
Been looking for a 53 and a 57 but it will be a while my plate is beyond full for projects, Some day.One I recently gave away on ebay

One I am half a$$ working on for a freind waiting on parts STILL!

That and how in the heck would you lock it into position? chain isn’t exactly stiff stuff.
I could see a whole Rotisserie hung upside down from the ceiling though that would be cool inbetween working on it just pull it up off the floor and lock in place to clear up the shop floor for other projects.
Wouldnt need all the hydraulic junk they advertise with them. Good idea Stone!I have a full set of Kevin Tetz Paint U caution videos Ill sell you if you want. My kid watches them more than I do. Theres a lot of good info in there for guys just starting out.
look up there selling value and make me a fair offer.
There pretty good the Quarter panel replacement video is my favorit.Jinx
Go for the Devilbiss GFG 670 Plus gun they are good guns and there cheap! unless you can find a good deal on a SATA or IWATA. But Parts are REALLY expensive for them!Devilbiss parts are really cheap and you can get any size tip you need for them for 25 bucks.
post some pics i bet ya can do it without shrinking ya gotta work your perimeters around the outsides of that dent an she will tighten right back up 😉 ya start shrinking that thing an you’ll end up with a real dent
Do what Bondo says he’s my Hero! :rofl
Seriously Do post some pics!
See what the guys say before doing any thing, youll be glad you did!
I ended up getting so frustrated with an Oil canning roof I ended up destroying it :cens and had to patch the whole roof…. It wasn’t pretty. :blush:Hind sight is always 20/20 and now I wish I had listened more and worked it more before getting frustrated and doing what I had done.
First off NEVER Trust a guy at the Paint store!
If he were any good he would be doing this stuff for a living!
And he isn’t so Take that for what its worth!Second dont know what video your talking about exactly but I have seen some really good ones! A bunch right here on this sight! for free! Of course the ones you buy cover there Butts about some bit of safety stuff they have too Lawsuits! but there’s a lot of good info in there too! especially for guys just starting out. so there you go! Thats my Bit on Video’s.
Sounds like your a lot like me and just really starting out and can Paint, Well cool if you buy good equipment follow a Paint mfg instructions and follow what the Guys here tell you (There ALL posting REALLY good info ALL of them!) youll have few problems, But finding info on how to actually fix Bent and wrinkled sheet metal is an Art While Most ALL of these Guys here are good at it Few can actually explain it right in a way you can understand it any way, They just know how to do it! After all Most of them learned by doing it and watching someone that was a Mentor to them.
What I have found with a few of the videos I have purchased there’s some good info on painting Do’s and don’ts but Very little out there on how to actually fix dents! and actually working with sheet metal, One of the Best guys out there giving out really good info on working with sheet metal is John Kelly at
http://www.ghiaspecialties.com/
This guy is a Master I cant say enough Good things about this guy and his Talents except that he is a Master!
There are a bunch more Guys out there doing the same stuff and offering Classes on how too Work with Sheet Metal but not to many making videos.
Few out there give out more free information than John Kelly. He posts over on 101 under the Welding section occasionally. His web sight is Packed with free info and he posts free videos on You tube as well! check it out lots of good stuff there! If your new and just starting out an Oil can is a B to learn on by your self!
You can do more damage than good very easy! Very FAST! Stay away from the welder!
and the Torches! just speaking from experience    Bad memories! :censTry a Disk first easier to learn shrinking with a disk.
Plus its harder to damage the panel with a disk!
Over at 101 some one sells them with a training videoStone wrote:
Kinda cool but for restos one generally want’s the drive train and suspension removedI bin thinking of a chain hoist type rotisserie. :pcorn:
Being that I am in the Market for a Rotisserie.
What are you talking about when you say chain hoist type Stone?Nope! Rat I’m still not getting near it :wak :rofl
I seen another one like that used two big loops front and rear did pretty much same thing.
That would be a heck of a time too find out your Leaf springs are bad
OH OH How about a bad set of upper and lower control arm bushings or worse yet a worn Ball joint! :wak :wak :exci  :rofl
Some ones gonna get hurt with one of these
