ya my boy bondo jr spent about 4 yrs managing a large detail shop also does window tinting an installs all kinds of crap youd never want on a car till he went ta work driving truck for ups did i mention he has a apartment upstairs in my shop….he can get a car cleaner in an hr than i can spending all day on it an yes he does come in handy around here lil bugger can run a buffer better than anybody ive ever seen i dont even have ta leave the paper on the cars any more cuz he dont need it….i hope he stays part time long enough ta train my 17 yr old ta do some of that stuff:)
that mirka IS nice stuff though aint it nothing cheap about the quality top notch stuff;)
any of ya guys use the meguirs unigrit paper not cheap but damn nice wetsanding paper the 2000 cuts better than the 3m goldback 1500 lasts alongtime 2:)

depends??? if all the body work is done etch then 2k but if ya got a big steel turd im starting ta think just epoxy if their is a lot o filler work ta come cuz it dont like the etch;)
not on a nice job but ive done it 2 😛 it sorta gaurantees sinkmarks imo the only thing i trust it over is bare steel then ya can get away with murder:side: :side: :side:

i have made a vow ta myself not ta use anymore 3m stuff unless i absolutly have to the last box of 800 cost me a hundred bucks i shoulda sent it back :blink: i think the norton stuff is as good if not better also ive been buying alot of my papers from autobody tool mart or buying mirka witch is as good a stuff as anybodys imo:P

i assume your not talking about the stuff used ta fill the rust holes that ya run into on some of the high end resto work :laugh: :laugh:
my favorite sharpes where the sgfs when they redesigned the aircaps i do have a cobalt 2.6 that i never use any more what a hose!!!
everytime i step out to a grit that fine ya might as well kiss that perfectaly strait panel good bye imo paint maybey but not filler usally ive noticed that the paint feathedge shrinks more than the filler any way about 120 is as far as i go on plastic anything finer then things have a way of geting lumpy if ya know what i mean:huh: :huh:
ta be honest i think 3 coats is pushing it on a black anymore but thats just my opinion;)
