I believe there should be a market for someone who do a good job.
Absolutely!

Sometimes, short cuts have to be taken depending on the job. But it shouldn’t be a habit.

Rather pricey setup. But if you’re doing lots of high dollar custom work it should pay off quickly.
The chromers that i’ve tried kinda suck… I think BK tried the Alsa stuff before.

It’s cool to see how things are done all over the world. Maybe jimmo can put a world map with flags indicating
locations of forum members! Just a thought… 🙂

Dag, what are your rates like? How much did you charge for those jobs? How is business overall?

Welcome dag!

Congo? Dang that’s far. What paint line are you using?

My sister is a graphic/web designer. She’s quite good. I was graphic designer/illustrator and commercial
sculptor as well. I worked for a studio in the mid 90’s sculpting toys for all the major toy companies.
Your kids might have played with one of my toys!

I like what you’ve done with the place. 🙂

About 95% of the time, the job needs a denib and finesse. It’s always calculated in insurance work too.

One of the reasons why i spend so much time perfecting my cut n’ buff technique! 🙂

Nice! That barn – aka real man shop – is got serious potential. Would be cool to see behind that
pad locked door…

Where you’re livin’ is a vacation spot for inner city guys like me. No joke!
Heck, i’m movin’ in! Just gotta renovate the old shop and we’re good!

Looks like you (and the other fellers) got it all!

Meguiars NXT 2.0 tech wax is more of a sealant than a wax and is quite good for the money.
But, of course, it’s always in the prep.

Dealerships, tend to exaggerate the longevity of the sealant. A customer of mine bought a new PT Cruiser
and was sold on the state-of-the-art 5 year paint sealant… She was happy with the purchase so i said nothing.
Hell, even if it lasts a few months, that’s still longer lasting than the dealership itself. 😉

It’s basically an over priced wax job. They bought into the hype and payed for nothing, really.

It should be the individuals responsibility. Assigned carts should definitely help. And they should clean up
after themselves too. Keeping brooms and dust pans nearby should be encouraging.

Way too good! What you got next?

May 21, 2009 at 4:13 am #14383

That’s not a total loss?

Hyundai has come a long. I worked on a few XG350’s and the build quality seems excellent.
And, according to the owners, they’re very reliable too. Also worked on a Kia Amanti…this
make shouldn’t exist. POS!
