they total it because ford doesn’t service cab assy anymore. We just did one about 5 months a go i found a cab in oregon for 15000.00 so when i told them what it would cost to repair and replace most of the lt side they didn’t freak out.
October 23, 2008 at 8:18 pm #11640he has it set with 40psi in 10 out.feed is 1.5 ad fluid is set 2 turns of thread showing. fan is wide open.now this is for clear not base.
October 22, 2008 at 10:17 pm #11633been using 72200 for 10 years and never had any major gloss problems baking or air drying. the 72500 overated and over priced their is no gloss comparison between the 2. if you have a moisture problem or try speeding up flash times it will die on you.
October 22, 2008 at 9:18 pm #11629ryan don’t let the reps lead you astray. I used to spray dupont with the fan open and feed cut down to avoid mottling due to its poor covering abilities.I use a 1.3 tip rp for clear mostly 72200 and a sata jet 3000 1.3 for base. As for iwata watch out on the clears they will run on you.I have 1 painter that puts custom runs in every job he does and he is an iwata fan.Ill ask my lead painter how he has his iwata set up since he uses the same gun but with no runs,
October 22, 2008 at 9:10 pm #11628I used to use dupont 210s waterborne primer on them all the tme and never had any issues with it until they changed it and messed it up.
October 13, 2008 at 11:45 pm #11559lol had same thing with a newbie 58 impala convt had him strip lt qtr to start with he did a good job and i never saw him again.
October 1, 2008 at 1:14 am #11515give the sata some time and tweak it I personaly think that the sata is a better gun and we use both here.
September 19, 2008 at 8:42 pm #11487NO would be the right answer.I’m trying to get some info so they can get this resolved.
September 18, 2008 at 2:37 am #11481One that makes me madder than hell is when I have to ask them why something wasn’t done and I get I didn’t know.Of course I reply that it was on the detailed work order and here it comes well i didn’t read it.AAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH.Anyway thats the one I get the most of.I like telling them when they ask about a supp that their isn’t one and of course they filled out the request form I just tell them I didn’t read it LOL.I like to wait till they go over their payroll sheets and see that i have the supp on it.
September 11, 2008 at 10:49 pm #11450Their are slim pickens here as well my main tech has been with us 15 years 14 continous then decided grass was greener at a dealership that lasted a whole year and back to us.second guy we hired away from a local the local competition 1st car I had him do I handed him a work order and he asked me what that was:laugh: his last shop never gave him one they paid him what they wanted not what the estimate was.He is a little slow in that dept but a top notch tech. I’m working on another tech at a shop down the street right now.
