It can be dry sanded, but it tends to plug up the sand paper rather quickly with the finer grit papers (600-800).

I’ve used the Glaso Waterborne primer for the past two years now… I don’t use it for everyday use, but as an alternative to using UV primer, or if I know the area I am priming is going to cause a wrinkling problem. I have had no real issues basecoating directly over the waterborne, and it is quick… Hold your gun off to the side of the panel, and blow air across the waterborne, not directly at it. When it turns dull, it’s dry B) Wet sand and then paint… Hope you like the waterborne B)

I spent a little time in a restoration shop. I enjoyed the work, lack of pressure and being allowed to do a quality job, and the end results. The pay was another story though. Compared to what I had been making in Collision repair shops it was hard to make a living ( I went from flat rate to a low hourly wage). I’m sure that in the right shop, restoration could pay as well as collision repar…

I’m a Sata kind of guy myself. I have a Rp that Started life as a 1.3, but the last kit I bought I went to a 1.2. It works well, but I did notice that I needed to slow down a little bit.
I use 3000’s with 1.3 tips for base.
I also use a 2000 for sealer with a 1.3 tip, and another 2000 with a 1.3 tip for the solid base colors.
I have tried the Lph 400 for spraying clear, and it worked ok, but the feel was a little strange for me. A little to small and petite for my hands 🙂
Nothing wrong with the Iwatas though. I own two Iwata airbrushes

I wash with a white scotchbrite and soapy water, rinse, dry, clean with plastic cleaner, spray a coat of PPG DX 801, let sit for half an hour, then seal and refinish along with the vehicle.

    I like the 923-109, 923-455 and the 923-550 from the Glaso line…
Currentley I’m using PPG, so my favorites are the 2021, followed by the 3000 and 4000

I used the Rm Dp series of primers for over a year with no issues.
I’m no longer using the Basf products, so know I am back to using an etch before priming. I wish all the paint manufactures had direct to metal primers 🙁
